We live in an age of “informational conspicuous consumption”: an informational explosion, an orgy of data. But, like any uncontrollable explosion, this is both unsustainable and damaging in the long run. We need to become more environmentally-friendly, not only to our biological environment, but also to our informational one. I believe that Logic (and in particular, a Resource-Sensitive Dynamic Logic) is the key to sustainable informational development.
